What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you click signup with Piggy or you become provisioned by merchant using Piggy. During merchant signup process we ask you by means of external authentication provider (Google) to provide us with your basic information set: Google user id, name, username and email. All this information is default information set Google provides for application authenticating the user. You grant permission to access this information when authenticating with Google. When you choose to authenitcate with your own username/password combination, we store your password in hashed from (e.g. technically very difficult to derive your original password).
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in the following way: 1) identify you as a merchant when logged from the computer and from mobile phone and associate mobile and web browser clients, 2) identify users (owners of prepaid/postpaid accounts) by means of unique identifiers in order to credit or debit customer account open at the merchant. Your information and information of your provisioned customers whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the service requested.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information. We use a secure server instances. All supplied sensitive information (including unique identifiers) is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, commonly used in banking systems. Server instances are managed by Google AppEngine hosting service, certified to comply with SSAE-16 certification (process, which covers everything from physical security at the data center to making sure that only pre-cleared staff have access to customer data, to evaluating Google's redundancy and incident reporting). If you (as a merchant or customer of merchant) opt to use Google account authentication you can leverage aditional Google account protection measures including (but not limited to) two step verification.
Cookies
Yes. Piggy uses cookies - small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser (when you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to anonymously recognize your browser and capture and remember information associated. We use cookies to help us remember and process the page flow and idenitfy your browser between your subsequent web requests (clicks).
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.
